Daily paying agency are seeking an experienced Test Automation Consultant, with financial sector experience and solid knowledge and experience of Fixed Income: Interest rate derivatives, Bonds, futures etc.. This is a 6 month contract paying in the region of ?300-?350 per day.

We are looking for a candidate to act as the automation tester and will support deal capture applications. You will develop test scripts, primarily using HP Quick Test Pro and also Winrunner. This will involve automation of test plans covering different areas of the application and also defects reported in previous releases. Also involvement in the regression testing of future releases, participating in designing test strategies and writing new test plans. 

This project requires the automation of a large number of existing manual test cases and the creation of a regression testing pack. Once the suitable test cases have been identified and prioritised the automation of these test cases will commence.

MUST HAVE:

• Financial sector experience, with demonstrable experience of Fixed Income.
• Previous working experience within an offshore project.
• Experience of interest rate derivatives, bonds/reops, futures.
• Understanding of configuration management
• Good working knowledge of Windows OS (XP).
• Testing of Java web-based applications.
• Solid testing experience with a good knowledge of system and integration testing methodologies.
• Experience in a testing role developing both automation and regression tests, ideally within the banking sector or financial services.
• Advanced Quick Test Pro experience, with knowledge of QTP and how to manipulate QTP via VB Script.
• Quality Centre and SQL experience.
