Asentis, on behalf of a Leading Sports Spread Betting company have an opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer.

Role dtails:

• Be responsible for the overall software quality of bespoke application software components for the shared platform and Web services API and integrated third-party technologies and messaging
• Maintain the highest quality standards for all websites, mobile, Poker and Games software platforms
• Liaise with the business analyst/project manager to understand business requirements and deliver a test plan that matches functional specifications and provide estimates on required work
• Develop and keep up-to-date test cases, scripts and harnesses for software components for the Core applications and integrated third-party systems
• Execute test scripts and report on test results and defects; promptly raise risks and arrange for mitigation.
• Start the testing process early in the release cycle, alongside the development team. Focus on uncovering bugs early and do risk-based testing.
• Manage the test process including test cases, scripts, mapping to requirements and defects with test management software
• Focus on software validation and verification but also on usability, reliability, security and performance.
• Perform all kinds of testing including functional, integration, systems, regression, exploratory, performance, load and stress testing
• Liaise with the business analyst/project manager and assist in UAT
• Comply with change control and configuration management tools and practices
• Follow and promote software testing best practices and maintain the highest quality of delivered software

Technical Skills:

• Strong technical background in SQA processes
• High competency in using Test management tools such as HP/Mercury Quality Center or equivalent
• Experience with automated testing and tools such as Loadrunner, QuickTestPro, Selenium or equivalent
• Ability to analyse, understand in-depth and clearly document complex software systems
• Strong liking in numbers, data, and patterns and ability to translate test results appropriately for developers and customers
• Experience in testing real-time, highly transactional, multi-tier systems where high performance and availability are key
• Experience in testing distributed systems
• Proven ability in delivering high-quality software with agile methodologies
• ISEB Certification to Foundation or Practitioner level
• Some understanding of programming languages which can be applied to automated testing
• Experience in working in a multi-tester environment of well-defined release and change management procedures
